BluePearl Pet Hospital is seeking an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician to work in our Emergency and Critical Care department in Charlestown, MA.Pay: $24.00 - $49.00 / hour*This pay band is dependent on experience, credentialing, and advancement through CareerTrax leveling system. Candidates with VTS credentialing are eligible for compensation commensurate with experience*We also offer competitive shift differential pay for eligible hours worked for nights and weekends. Shift differentials are based on a 4-hour minimum.For example:Mon Fri: 6pm to 8am = $4.00 Shift DifferentialSat & Sun: 8am to 6pm = $4.00 Shift DifferentialSat & Sun: 6pm to 8am = $5.50 Shift DifferentialAs an ICU Veterinary Technician, you will:Triage and obtain patient historyIdentify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPRPlace IVC's and advanced catheters like Jugular catheters, Central Lines or PICC lines.Monitor and care for Ventilator CasesWork along side other skilled technicians and assistants in providing excellent, advanced medicine to your patientsHave a passion for mentoring and training other co-workers.Feel gratification of nursing critically ill patients back to health and reunite them with their pet parentsWhy BluePearl?Our passion is pets. The Continuing Education allowance can roll over up to $1,500 for CVT and VTS associates. Non-Credentialed, full-time Paraprofessionals are eligible for an annual CE stipend of $150. Full-time CVT associates also receive 8 hours of CEpaid hours each year. Full-time VTS associates receive 12 hours of CE paid each year. Paid CE hours can be carried over year to year up to a maximum of 24 hours.
