Job Title: Oncology Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Oncology with emphasis on chemotherapy administration Job Duration: Permanent Shift: 4x10-hour shifts, 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week Experience: Ambulatory experience required; experience with chemotherapy administration License: RN license for the state required Certifications: - Basic Life Support (BLS) required - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required - Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy certification through ONS required Must-Have: OCN certification preferred but not mandatory Job Description: - Work as part of a team to provide exceptional care to patients - Administer chemotherapy and immunotherapy as per protocols - Monitor patients for side effects and efficacy of treatments - Educate patients and families about treatment plans and potential side effects - Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation - Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient care outcomes - Participate in call rotations, which may include occasional Saturday coverage every 11 weeks - Stay current with best practices and advancements in oncology nursing and treatments
