Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 11/24/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, rotating - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Medical-Surgical Telemetry Float Pool position in Massachusetts requiring a current MA RN license and willingness to work rotating shifts. Responsibilities - Work in the Nursing Float Pool within a hospital setting - Covers Med/Surg Telemetry units and may float to ED holds, inpatient holds, PACU, and other boarding units - Patient ratios range from 1:3 to 1:5 - Assignment length is 13 weeks - 12-hour rotating shifts with 4-week blocks of days and nights (7a-7:30p, 7p-7:30a) - Every other weekend required (Days: Sat/Sun, Nights: Fri/Sat/Sun) - Floating may occur in 4-hour blocks per shift - Duties include providing care to Med/Surg and telemetry patients and supporting other units when floating - Pass/fail day one testing (Tele/ECG and Medication Test) is required - Relias practice tests are available prior to testing - No time off approved during the Christmas holiday - Must live at least 50 miles from the facility; no local candidates allowed - Weekly Monday start dates - Parking onsite may cost up to $43 per day Requirements - Active and current MA RN license in hand - BLS (AHA) required - ACLS (AHA) and NIHSS preferred - Level 1 trauma experience preferred; if no prior travel, Level 1 trauma experience is required - Minimum 6-month break required for returning former employees (perm, per diem, contract) - COVID vaccine with booster and Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions allowed) Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-627814.
