Job Description:
The Esophageal and Airway Treatment Center at Boston Children's
Hospital is dedicated to the care of infants, children, and young
adults with complex esophageal and airway problems. For our team,
these very rare esophageal conditions are not rare at all. Since
2010, our clinicians have cared for more than 600 patients, making
us the most experienced institution in the world when it comes to
treating these complex conditions. We use pioneering surgical
treatments to help children with airway and esophageal problems.
Key Responsibilities: - Provide expert, compassionate care to
patients with complex conditions such as Esophageal Atresia,
Tracheomalacia, and related GI, Nutrition, Feeding and Pulmonary
issues. - Deliver direct ambulatory nursing care and coordinate
services for patients with esophageal and airway conditions. -
Perform telephone triage for gastrointestinal, nutrition, feeding,
pulmonary, and surgical concerns related to esophageal atresia and
tracheomalacia. - Assist with medication prior authorizations,
prescription refills, and durable medical equipment (DME) needs. -
Coordinate care by: - Reviewing charts for clinic visits and
surgical preparation - Communicating with local care teams, nursing
agencies, and schools - Providing ongoing support to patients,
families, and referring providers - Participate in quality
improvement initiatives and research activities, including data
entry into the EAT Center database. - Collaborate within a
multidisciplinary team and across hospital departments to ensure
seamless patient care. Minimum Qualifications: Education: -
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required. Experience: - 1 year
RN experience required. 2-3 years preferred. - Pedi RN experience
preferred. License/Certification: - Current Massachusetts RN

in this role may be expected to take on additional duties to
respond to organizational needs. The posted pay range is Boston
Children’s reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at
the time of posting. Any base pay offer provided depends on skills,
experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other
job-related factors. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive
