Job Description:
Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and
passionate Hand Surgeon to join our growing multi-disciplinary team
of medical professionals. You will become part of a dynamic group
consisting of 19 providers, including surgeons specializing in
General Orthopedics, Adult Reconstruction, Foot & Ankle, Sports,
Oncology, Trauma & Fracture Care, and Medical Podiatry, supported
by expert Advanced Practitioners. This role will primarily focus on
providing specialized care in hand and upper extremity surgery for
adult patients. Ideal candidates will bring a strong clinical
background, a commitment to education, and an interest in advancing
research in the field. Key Responsibilities: Patient Care &
Diagnostics: Conduct thorough diagnostic evaluations for patients
with hand injuries and conditions. Develop individualized treatment
plans, including non-surgical and surgical options. Surgical
Procedures: Perform a variety of hand and upper extremity
surgeries, including repairs and reconstructions of hand injuries
or deformities. Post-Operative Care: Oversee post-operative care,
including wound management, rehabilitation, and follow-up
assessments to ensure optimal recovery. Collaborative Approach:
Work closely with a multi-disciplinary team, including physical
therapists, occupational therapists, and nurses, to achieve the
best possible outcomes for patients. Continuous Learning &
Advancement: Stay up-to-date with the latest developments and
techniques in hand surgery, integrating new procedures into your
practice as appropriate. Documentation & Communication: Maintain
accurate and comprehensive medical records for each patient.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues to
ensure clarity and understanding in treatment plans. Qualifications
& Skills: Board Certification: Board-certified in Orthopedic
Surgery with subspecialty certification in Hand Surgery.
Experience: Significant experience in hand surgery with a proven
track record of successful patient outcomes. Technical Expertise:
Exceptional surgical skills and attention to detail, especially in
hand and upper extremity procedures. Interpersonal Skills:
Excellent communication skills with patients, families, and medical
staff, ensuring a compassionate and collaborative care environment.
Team Player: Ability to work effectively within a diverse,
multi-disciplinary healthcare team. Professional Development: A
