Job Description:
Medical Director Hospital Medicine in MA Full-Time, Permanent
Role Summary:Lead the Hospital Medicine team by setting high
standards for patient care, improving operations, and supporting
team development.Key Responsibilities: Daily Operations:oOversee
hospitalist schedules (Amion) and staffing.oManage patient flow and
distribution.oHandle clinical concerns and staff callouts.
Leadership & Team Support:oServe as Administrator-On-Call.oRecruit
and interview providers.oSupport APPs and new provider
onboarding.oAddress professionalism and performance issues. Quality
& Safety:oRespond to incident reports.oLead quality improvement
efforts, including stroke care. Meetings & Communication:oAttend
department and hospital-wide meetings.oEnsure clear communication
around discharges, transfers, and patient care concerns.Schedule &
Reporting: Time Split: 50% Clinical / 50% Administrative Reports
To: Department Chair & CMO
