Responsibilities Assess and triage emergency patients quickly and
accurately to prioritize life-saving care Provide skilled nursing
care in a 25-bed critical access hospital ED, including meds, IVs,
and wound management Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice
providers, and the ED team to manage emergent situations Monitor
cardiac rhythms and respond to changes in patient condition with
appropriate interventions Document patient care clearly and
thoroughly in the electronic medical record Support patient and
family education and discharge planning with compassion and clarity
Participate in quality improvement and safety initiatives to help
the ED run better every day Qualifications 3-5 years of Emergency
Room nursing experience (per job posting) Night shift experience
and availability to work every other weekend Current RN licensure
eligible for practice in Vermont (state license or applicable
compact privileges) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred Strong
assessment skills, stable clinical judgement, and comfort with a
fast-paced ED environment Knowledge & Skills Triage and emergency
assessment best practices IV therapy, medication administration,
and basic procedures common to the ED Cardiac monitoring and
recognition of arrhythmias Effective communication and teamwork in
urgent care settings Accurate, timely electronic documentation and
handoffs Ability to prioritize multiple patients and tasks under
