This role involves working directly with students to support their developmental and educational needs through tailored occupational therapy interventions. The position includes travel to various schools in the area, offering a dynamic work environment and opportunities to impact multiple student populations. Key Responsibilities: Deliver occupational therapy evaluations and treatments to students per Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement therapeutic strategies. Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as needed to maximize outcomes. Provide consultative support to school staff regarding sensory, motor, and self-help skills. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local education regulations. Qualifications and Experience: Licensed Occupational Therapist with current credentials to practice in Rhode Island. Experience working in pediatric or school-based settings preferred. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to adapt to varied environments and travel between multiple school locations. Knowledge of school-based occupational therapy best practices and educational guidelines. Location: Primarily based in Westerly, Rhode Island, with travel to surrounding schools.
