Job Description:
At Central Vermont Medical Center, a cornerstone of the
University of Vermont Health Network, we are committed to providing
exceptional patient care in a community-focused environment. We are
currently seeking a Certified CT Technologist who is passionate
about medical imaging and delivering compassionate care to join our
dynamic radiology team. In this role, you will operate Computerized
Tomography (CT) scanners to produce cross-section images of
patients’ internal organs and tissues for the diagnosis of medical
issues. A meticulous approach to patient safety and adherence to
regulatory compliance are paramount in performing daily duties.
Operate CT imaging equipment to create diagnostic images in
accordance with physician's orders. Ensure patient safety and
comfort during scans, including placement and shielding. Adjust
equipment parameters appropriately based on patient condition and
clinical requirements. Analyze resulting images to check for
quality and adequate coverage of the area being imaged. Collaborate
with radiologists to determine if additional images are needed.
Maintain patient records and radiographic logs accurately in
compliance with HIPAA regulations. Perform routine maintenance on
CT equipment to ensure operational efficacy. Educate patients on CT
procedures and answer their questions to ease the imaging process.
Proficient in using CT imaging and diagnostic equipment. Strong
attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent interpersonal and
communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a high
stress environment. Knowledge of radiology safety and protocol
compliance. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance
Valid certification from the American Registry of Radiologic
Technologists (ARRT). Certification in CT technology.
