Job Description:
Position Summary We are seeking an experienced RN to join our
Pediatric ICU Float pool to meet the ever-changing staffing needs
across the Critical Care and Cardiovascular programs. Key
Responsibilities - Providing competent nursing care to critically
ill patients (newborn – adult) and their families across all 4 ICUs
(Medical ICU, Medical/Surgical ICU, Neonatal ICU and Cardiac ICU).
- Delivering family-centered care as a member of a
multidisciplinary team. - Working in a fast paced, collaborative
environment with many opportunities for learning and career growth
with comprehensive orientation to meet individual needs. -
Opportunities to be involved in hospital wide committees and to
precept new staff and nursing students. - 24, 30, 36 or 40 hours
available; orientation at 36 hours. Minimum Qualifications
Education: - A bachelor's degree in nursing Experience: - A minimum
of 1-year, pediatric ICU RN experience required with a wide range
of diagnoses preferred. - Ability to work 50% Day/Night rotations,
every third weekend, and flexibility of availability required.
Licensure/Certifications - Current Massachusetts license as a
Registered Nurse (RN) This position is eligible for a $10,000
sign-on bonus for 36 hour per week hires (pro-rated for less than
36 hours) for RNs with a minimum of 1 year of Pediatric ICU RN
experience. (Internal candidates and former BCH employees who have
worked here in the past 2 years are not eligible). Additional
$8.00/ hour incentive for all clinical hours worked. The posted pay
range is Boston Children’s reasonable and good-faith expectation
for this pay at the time of posting. Any base pay offer provided
depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a
variety of other job-related factors. Base pay is one part of a
