This Intake Coordinator will be responsible for:

• Answering telephone calls from patients and parents requesting services in the Outpatient Psychiatry Service.
• Collecting, verifying and recording clinical, demographic and insurance information.
• Assisting in the triage and assignment of cases.
• Scheduling new appointments.
• Entering information in departmental and hospital databases.
• Providing positive and effective customer service.
• Cross-training for other administrative roles such as the Outpatient Psychiatry Front Desk to allow for flexible administrative staffing as needed.
• Coordinating care with referring primary and specialty care providers.
  
  
  To qualify, you must have:
  
  
  
  
  • A high school level of educational development and a minimum of two years' experience.
  • The analytical skills to gather and interpret data in situations in which the information or problems are relatively routine.
  • Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • The ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and provide empathy in difficult interpersonal situations.
  • No certification, registration or licensure required.
