This position will support both major capital and routine
construction/renovation projects for signage and wayfinding needs
across the BCH enterprise. As part of the Facilities Planning Team
this position will interface with internal clients, the in house
sign shop and outside vendors to plan, produce and coordinate the
installation of signage and wayfinding for a wide range
projects.This Signage Program Manager will be responsible to:
- Collaborate with senior management stakeholders to continuously
review, improve, revise and implement new signage program process
protocols and implement signage program goals and objectives of
BCH's Facilities Planning dept to optimize signage program costs,
efficiencies and impact
- Manage wayfinding and signage program improvement, including
business process redesigns, stakeholder training and management of
ongoing program.
- Provide signage and wayfinding support for all routine and
capital construction projects
- Manage wayfinding and signage program deliverables including
responsibilities of: outside consultants and vendors; these
responsibilities include, but are not limited to: signage request
intakes, project budgets, plans and installations with Project
Management team and other stakeholders
- Monitor projects to assure scope, time and budget requirements
are met
- Manage and coordinate the project decision-making process and
ensure team members are aware of schedules and deadlines.
- Perform signage project needs assessments through formal
signage intake/scoping process. Evaluate and analyze project
requests and manage or outsource signage project requests based on
Signage Program Process, Standards and Style policy requirements to
ensure signage programming aligns with enterprise standards, goals
and mission.
- Facilitate weekly signage all-stakeholder meetings and
distribute weekly reports
- Provide technical advice, policy development collaboration,
policy interpretation and project management guidance to ensure the
appropriate application of signage policies to consultants,
vendors, Facilities staff and signage project stakeholders
- Advance and oversee the development and facilitation of
wayfinding and signage program tools, trains, and orient new
Facilities staff, signage vendors and signage project
stakeholders
- Serve as primary administrative contact for BCH wayfinding and
signage; attend all necessary enterprise, departmental and
stakeholder meetings, manage new signage inquiries, and liaise with
all external signage stakeholders as needed
- Pursue ongoing training and industry education associated with
job duties by establishing and pursuing annual position training
curricula, review up-to-date signage industry periodicals, attend
industry meetings and forumsTo qualify, you must have:
- A Bachelor's degree and a min of 5 yrs' experience or an
Associate's degree w 10 yrs' experience required.
- Graphic Design, Project Management experience is preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
and provide empathy in difficult interpersonal situations.
- Experience using design software such as Adobe Illustrator,
Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, AutoCAD and SignAgent
- Graphic Design and Project Management experience
