At Sonos we want to create the ultimate listening experience for our customers and know that it starts by listening to each other. As part of the Sonos team, you'll collaborate with people of all styles, skill sets, and backgrounds to realize our vision while fostering a community where everyone feels included and empowered to do the best work of their lives.
"This role can be done from home
Building the world's leading sound experience starts with the experience we provide for our people. That's why we've been distributed from the start: initially between offices in Boston & Santa Barbara, and now with additional offices in Seattle, San Francisco & Paris. This role can be done from anywhere in the United States or Canada - any of our offices, or remotely from home. It's about impact, not location."
Sonos partners with over 140 content streaming providers and over 40 home automation partners. These partners, along with our 3rd party voice partners, integrate with the Sonos Sound Platform allowing Sonos to deliver the best smart speaker experience in the world.
As a member of our Product Partner Experiences team, you will be responsible for owning the vision and approach to improve our partnership with industry-leading companies. You will need to define the requirements from the Sonos Platform and how we can expand our reach to more partners sustainably. Additionally, you will have to manage our partnering program, including defining the partner requirements for being on our platform and the process of a partner from applying to working with Sonos to launching their integrated product or feature.
We are looking for a customer-focused team member with a proven track record of building and driving the launch of successful products, requiring working across product teams and companies. Transparency and collaboration are core tenets of our Sonos culture, and your experience should demonstrate how you embody these traits in developing relationships with the Sonos product team and creating and fostering alliances with our top partners. These relationships will be the cornerstone of building experiences that delight people in bringing great sound experiences to their lives.
What You'll Do:

  • Set the long-term vision and the phased approach for our 3rd party integrations, including being responsible for prioritizing features and specifying requirements and outcomes that align with the Sonos mission of empowering lives through great sound.

  • Take ownership of the future of our Works With Sonos program and develop it into a profitable business for both Sonos and our partners, cementing Sonos as a leader in the Connect Home market.

  • Create and ensure delivery of the engineering roadmap for partner-focused feature areas; running stand-ups, prioritization, costing and triage discussions.

  • Gain customer and experience insight from our existing data, help ground the team in this data and develop experience hypotheses and new experiments based on engagement and growth goals.

  • Work effectively across team, discipline and geographic boundaries to help ensure a culture of transparency, inclusion, diversity of opinion and perspective and product experiences that reflect those strengths.

    What You'll Need:
This role requires strong technical, organizational, partnering, and communication skills. Candidates should be passionate about music and technology, confidently talk about code with developers, and explain complex technology in simple terms.

    • 8+ years of experience as a successful Product Manager.

    • Strong collaborator who can drive a product roadmap, sell a vision, and inspire effectively based on user research, business logic, and data.

    • Strong technical background with a proven ability to rapidly learn new technologies.

    • Ability to work closely with the largest companies to build complex software integrations.

    • Proactive and biased to action; you learn quickly, work independently, and take ownership of open issues.

    • Collaborative spirit and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.

    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Since inventing multiroom wireless audio in 2005, we have continuously innovated the listening experience, designing hardware and software that celebrates sound, empowers our customers, and brings the home to life. Our team is made up of passionate players united by a culture of respect, transparency, collaboration, and ownership who want to inspire the world to listen better.
We have always been focused on impact, not location, and the pandemic has taught us that even more roles can be performed remotely than we'd previously imagined. Whether our people choose to work from an office or remotely, we remind ourselves that our culture is not our offices, it's us.
