-.The Job: As a Operations Supervisor, you'll be part of our
T&O Global Supply Chain team working as an on-site employee.
You'll get to:
- Manages direct reports (up to 30 FTE's) including managing
timecards, payroll, and employee relations issues on 2nd
Shift.
- Ensure safe working conditions and practices are
maintained.
- Perform audits, quantify, develop, and implement Year on Year
improvements in OSHA recordables, DPPM, scrap, labor efficiency,
5S, TPM and delivery performance.
- Drive, produce and communicate results of Department Safety,
Quality, Customer Service, and Cost KPIs for assigned VSM. Weekly
communication to operations team, as well as monthly communication
to direct reports.
- Responsible for all training aspects of all direct reports
(quality, manufacturing processes, TPM, 5S).
- Maintains records of all training activities, evaluates skill
gaps and implements cross training to meet business needs and to
promote employee engagement.
- Responsible for hazard assessment of all chemicals affiliated
with the department.
- Responsible for all near miss, accident, quality and property
damage investigations and corrective action.
- Develop/maintain staffing plans in accordance with forecasted
demand. This process includes the interviewing/onboarding of new
employees as well as redeployment of employees through the facility
to adjust staffing for decreases in demand.
- Recommend and implement more efficient production methods,
processes, purchasing, tooling, and manpower usage techniques as
required to meet or exceed assigned VSM / Plant goals.
- Supervise product management and necessary records and controls
to assure accurate inventories of materials, parts, and finished
goods.
- Execute other duties as assigned.The Person: You love to learn

You also have:
- Associates Degree in Business Management, Engineering, or an
applicable technical field preferred3+ years' experience in
manufacturing supervision of 10 or more employees required.
- Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing.
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
- Managerial courage with a strong emphasis on interpersonal
skills.
- Organizational skills and the ability to adapt to shifting
priorities dictated by business needs.
- Detail oriented, self-assured, tactful, supportive.
- Mechanical Background beneficial, especially experience in
metal fab - stamping, bending, welding, and assembly.
- Knowledge in FLOW Manufacturing.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic team environment and
compromise to the overall benefit of the organization. The Details:
