Job Description:
The Pappas Rehabilitation Hospital for Children (PRHC), operated
by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH) is seeking a
dynamic applicant to assist the hospitals' Clinical Scheduling &
Staffing Supervisor by performing administrative support functions.
The selected candidate will assist with development, revision and
coordinating work procedures to ensure the efficient and effective
flow of work for the hospital.
This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate to support the
Supervisor of Clinical Scheduling & Staffing and the Chief Nursing
Officer (CNO) within a public health hospital setting through
assistance with the tracking and forward movement of clinical
positions in the posting/hiring process, as well as maintaining and
modifying data on a variety of scheduling and computerized staffing
systems for all units, including float block when applicable.

Pappas Rehabilitation Hospital for Children (PRHC) located in
Canton, MA is a Joint Commission Accredited 60 bed pediatric
hospital predominately serving children and young adults (ages
8-22) operated by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.
The mission of PRHC is to provide medical, rehabilitative,
educational, recreational, habilitative, transitional, and
complementary alternative medical services to children and young
adults with multiple disabilities, assisting them to achieve their
optimal level of independence in all aspects of life. PRHC offers
coordinated medical care and therapies in a hospital-based
environment, as well as, K-12 schooling, located on the grounds.
Educational Services are provided by the Department of Elementary
and Secondary Education. In addition, PRHC offers a wide variety of
recreational opportunities such as swimming, horseback riding,
adaptive sports, and many opportunities for socialization for
disabled children and young adults.

Qualifications:

MINIMUM ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must have at least (A)
two years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, professional,
administrative or managerial experience in business administration,
business management or public administration the major duties of
which involved program management, program administration, program
coordination, program planning and/or program analysis, or (B) any
equivalent combination of the required experience and the
substitutions below.
Substitutions:
I. A Bachelor's or higher degree with a major in business
administration, business management or public administration may be
substituted for the required experience.*
II. A Bachelor's or higher degree with a major other than in
business administration, business management or public
administration may be substituted for a maximum of one year of the
required experience.*
*Education toward such a degree will be prorated on the basis of
the proportion of the requirements actually completed.
