Job Description:

Title: Senior Software Engineer.

Description: Design, develop, test, and implement consumer-facing web portal for insurance business (Policy, Agency Data, Claims, and Billing) applications in a Java/J2EE environment. Design and develop highly scalable services using Web Services (REST and SOAP), Spring MVC, REST, JMS, JBOSS, ESB, JSON, and MyBatis. Create and maintain relational databases and procedural database code in support of software applications and business requirements. Develop and maintain user interfaces using JavaScript, JQuery, Angular and AJAX. Add new data requirements, feeds, and build system checks to ensure data accuracy and completeness. Leverage additional technologies to document business needs and support data transformations with tools and technologies including SQL, XML, XSLT, JSP, UML, and SOAP.

Education and Experience: Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus three (3) years of experience in designing and developing web-based applications for Property and Casualty insurance applications in a Java/J2EE environment.

Or, in the alternative, Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus five (5) years of experience designing and developing web-based applications for Property and Casualty insurance applications in a Java/J2EE environment.

Special Requirements: Demonstrated expertise designing and developing highly scalable services using Web Services, Spring MVC, REST, JMS, JBOSS, ESB (Mule), JSON, and MyBatis; Demonstrated expertise developing single page web applications using HTML5, Angular, and CSS for entitlement quality control applications; Demonstrated expertise designing & developing low latency Web Services, Service Oriented Architecture Applications for financial institutions/banks using products and tools including Spring, Restful, SOAP, Hibernate and SQL; Demonstrated expertise performing Java/J2EE deployment using Core Java, JSP, JDBC and Servlets, Demonstrated expertise developing server-side components using Java, J2EE, Oracle, PL/SQL; and Demonstrated expertise creating Stored Procedures, inline functions, tables and SQL queries.
