Job Purpose

Longroad owns and operates a growing fleet of renewable energy assets and is looking for an experienced Business Analyst to lead the technical administration of our asset management and O&M platforms. The Business Analyst will work with key business stakeholders to assist with implementations, integrations, process improvement, and system reliability improvements. This role will report to the VP of Information Technology/SCADA.

Location : Based in Boston, MA or Portland, ME. Please note: this is not a remote position and requires time spent in office.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the technical onboarding and consolidation of new renewable energy assets into existing applications and platforms
  • Partner with the key stakeholders to understand and document the information and data life cycle needed to operate and manage the Longroad fleet
  • Assess and optimize application integrations through review and analysis of user and business needs
  • Serve as lead and project manager for the build out and integration of new systems that are identified by business units
  • Document business, functional and technical requirements thoroughly
  • Identify and implement data quality verification and correction to ensure highest quality data is provided to business
  • Support audit function in collaboration with key stakeholders to identify improvements in system use
  • Determine operating characteristics and requirements; develop or modify and document general system design; write detailed design specifications
  • Optimize system designs through review and analysis of user needs; customize systems through design and administration.
  • Identify opportunities for improvements in business processes through automation; make recommendations for new procedures and applications.
  • Deliver and maintain user guides, training documents, administration guides, and validation documents
  • Maintain SOC-1 compliance and adherence to company policies
  • Actively participate in annual disaster recovery drills and test restores
  • Perform user administrator role and provide prompt user support

    Minimum Qualifications
    • 5 years of experience in a quantitative or analytics role
    • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field
    • Project management experience, partner management experience and very comfortable working with all levels of an organization
    • Experience with AWS Lambda, Glue, RDS, Redshift, S3, and API Gateway
    • Experience using BI Platforms such as PowerBI, QuickSight, or Tableau
    • Expert proficiency with SQL, Python, restful API's, GitHub
    • Experience working in and managing cross-functional, virtual teams with a mix of business and technical stakeholders
    • Strong organization, problem solving, and communication skills
    • Strong work ethic, ability to self-manage, take initiatives, and accountability
