search of a Senior Software Engineer to work on Colosseum and with
the OpenAirX-Labs team. The candidate will need deep expertise in
RF signal processing, 3GPP and IEEE 802.X wireless and cellular
standard implementation, OSI Layer 0-4 and software development
lifecycle management. The candidate must have proficiency in
multiple programming languages such as C, C++, Python, JAVA and
comfort to operate within a LINUX environment. The candidate must
be willing to work in a multidisciplinary environment across
domains of RF, computer engineering and networking systems. This
position will also participate in external activities, i.e.
conducting tutorials, demonstrations, publication of research and
attendance/participation in professional conferences, etc.Colosseum
is the world's most powerful wireless network emulator hosted at
the Northeastern University Innovation Campus in Burlington, MA. It
can emulate up to 65,536 100 MHz-RF channels, support repeatable
research and dynamic spectrum sharing, create custom scenarios and
terrains, be accessed through open APIs, and help to advance
artificial intelligence and machine learning.OpenAirX-Labs, the
North American home for the Openairinterface Software Alliance at
Northeastern University, provides open-source implementations for
3GPP defined 5G standard and IEEE 802.X wireless and cellular
standards for use on Colosseum and other NU operated wireless
testbeds. Qualifications:Applicant must have a BS (preferably MS)
in Electrical and/or Computer Engineering or equivalent; (3) three
years or more of industry experience with progressively more
responsible, independent engineering work. Development Experience
with C, C++, and Python programming languages. Experience with
tools such as MATLAB, Xilinx VIVADO, JavaScript, and JIRA.
Experience with Continuous Integration frameworks such as Jenkins,
code repository and versioning tools such as GitHub/GitLab.
Extensive experience with wireless networks and next generation
communication protocols/3GPP standards such as 4G/5G, WiFi, DSRC,
LP-WAN and C-V2X. A demonstrated ability to leading a team of
