Job Description:
SummaryThe Web Analyst will support teams by providing insights
and analysis into website and digital marketing performance, trends
and opportunities by designing and building reports and dashboards
that focus on traffic patterns, marketing channel effectiveness,
ecommerce optimization, digital customer experience and conversion
trends. A passion for data science, along with experience in
website tagging, data integration and analytical platforms is
required to help define and design backend requirements and ensure
accuracy. Most importantly, the Analyst's insights help guide
decision making for strategies and performance analyses for
acquisition and eCommerce and digital marketing initiatives.
Essential Functions:
- Drive the technical implementation of web analytics into
Salesforce Commerce Cloud.
- Define, implement, document and refine website tagging;
proactively identify and rectify data and tagging issues.
- Integrate data from the website with other data platforms.
- Work with cross functional teams to ensure website analytics
are implemented in a way that delivers reliable, usable insights,
ideally integrating data into automated reporting platforms.
- Partner with site merchandising and UX teams to help execute
A/B tests. Generate analysis of performance of the tests and
continuously review processes leveraging analytics data to
recommend.
- Generate ad-hoc reporting as needed, collaborate on
cross-functional projects.
- Perform all duties of an analytics tool administrator and serve
as an internal consultant on Google Analytics capabilities and site
tagging requirements, including creating/managing account access,
all site tagging and configurations, custom dashboards, and user
training as requested.
- Participate in marketing, merchandising, promotional
discussions and other activities to ensure necessary analytics
tracking is set-up prior to site or campaign launches.
- Develop and run regularly scheduled weekly/monthly web
analytics reports and dashboard that contribute meaningful analysis
with actionable insights, core website analysis, effectiveness of
new site feature launches and testing/targeting efforts.
- Define, implement and monitor UTM parameters across all
channels to track marketing effectiveness.
- Monitor site analytics and partner with the site merchandising
and digital marketing teams to provide best practices for
improvements of online conversion.
- Lead regular tagging audits, providing best practices, and
troubleshooting to ensure accuracy.
- Manage relationships with vendors and consultants related to
analytics.
- Participate in conversations pertaining to audience
segmentation and other media optimization efforts.
- Serves as a liaison between the business owners and
implementation team to influence tracking plans/technology
needs.
- Prepares critical data for feedback to eCommerce, Digital
Marketing and creative teams to drive higher sell-through of key
items.Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of
education/experience.
- Two years web optimization or testing/experimentation
experience.
- Web strategy management, optimization or
testing/experimentation experience.
- Experience in Google Analytics 360 and Google Tag Manager.
- Comprehensive working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
- Advanced analytic/quantitative skills.
- Strong verbal/written communication and presentation
skills.
- Ability to apply logical thought processes to
problem-solving.
- Ability to analyze, synthesize and distill large volumes of
data down to key takeaways.
- Ability to prioritize work with competing deadlines and
frequent interruptions.Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud.
- Retail industry experience.
