Job Description:
Acacia Communications Coherent Communications Division provides
an excellent opportunity to work on leading edge Coherent/DSP
technologies. Acacia has developed 8 generations of Coherent
transceivers ranging in bandwidth from 100Gbps to 1.2Gbps, IP
blocks ranging from 25/50/100G rate SERDES with PAM4 and NRZ
signaling, Mapping IP, Layer 1 Encryption IP and Framing IP, TX/RX
DSP technology to compensate Single Mode Fiber distortions and
High-Speed ADC/DAC Technology with sampling rates above
130Gb/s.
In this position you will work closely with System Engineering and
ASIC Design teams in validating Acacia Coherent Framing, Encryption
and Mapping IP blocks. You will be working on leading-edge
high-speed technology (ASIC/SERDES/DSP/ADC/DAC) which will provide

Key Responsibilities - In this position, you will be validating
Optical Transport Network (OTN) layer over WDM network and Ethernet
layer over DWDM network on Acacia products. Your in-depth knowledge
of the effects of transmission path impairments and standards
defined consequent actions will facilitate evaluating of Acacia
product response to such impairments. - You will design and develop
test plans and test automation software using C# programming
language. - You will execute and guide junior team members to
execute OTN/Ethernet protocol tests on new Acacia product software
releases. - You will document detailed test results and log
non-conformances using defect tracking tools such as Bugzilla or
Jira. Required Skills & Experience - MS or BS in Electrical
Engineering or Computer Science/Engineering. - At least 5 years of
experience in verifying OTN and/or Ethernet protocol-based
functionality in post ASIC development, ASIC DV, SQA, SVT, Systems
Test or similar environment. - Detailed Knowledge of IEEE 802.3
(Ethernet) , and ITU-T (OTN) G.709 and G.798 Standardso
100/200/400/800GE Ethernet - Understanding of Datacom Electrical
NRZ and PAM4 Interfaces; CAUI and GAUI. - Understanding of Ethernet
Layers; PMD/PMA, PCS and Layer 2 MAC. - Background on Next
Generation Ethernet serial interconnects 802.3ck (106Gb/s PAM4)o
OTN (G.709). - Knowledge in ITU-T G.709.3/Y.1331.3, G.798, G.812,
ITU-8251 and other relevant International Telecommunications Union
standards. - Understanding of Telecom Electrical Interfaces NRZ and
PAM4; OTL and FOIC.o Knowledge in Layer 1 Encryption is preferred.
