As a Senior Enterprise Splunk Engineer, you'll play a key role in
Eversource's growth and long-term success by architecting and
implementing enterprise IT monitoring solutions
Essential Functions:
--- Working with operations stakeholders to design and develop
Splunk applications
--- Strong communication and collaboration skills to help
understand what is needed and how to develop the features
required
--- Integrating Splunk with a wide variety of legacy data sources
that use various protocols
--- Experience migrating Splunk data and applications from one
instance to another
--- Ability to design Splunk reports and dashboards using complex
data elements
--- Design and customize complex search queries, and promote
advanced searching, forensics and analytics
--- Develop dashboards, data models, reports and optimize their
performance.
--- Develop alerts and timed reports
--- Experience in translating business requirements into concrete
data analytic solutions
--- Splunk training and/or certifications would be a major plus
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 to 8 years of related software experience and 5+
years' experience with Splunk
5+ years' experience with Data Analytics
Provides measurable input to new products, processes, or standards
in operational plans to implement business strategies.
IT experience developing and implementing business systems within
an organization
Experience working with defect or incident tracking software
Experience writing technical documentation in a software
development environment
Experience working with an IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL)
framework
Experience working with source code control system
Experience working with Continuous Integration/ Continuous
Deployment tools
Three + years of experience with complex Splunk Deployment
strategies that include standard and tiered Splunk deployment
model
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline is required
Advanced Degree in a related field is a plus
Working Conditions:
Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as
required.
Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.
