Job Description:

Kforce has a client in need of a Senior ETL Developer in Boston, MA. The Senior ETL Developer supports the implementation and on-going development and operations of the enterprise data warehouse (EDW).Responsibilities:

• 
  
• 
  Senior ETL Developer works with teams to integrate data across clinical, administrative, and financial source systems
  
  
• 
  Work with end users, business analysts, technical staff, and other project team members to plan, design, develop, implement, and enhance application processes and overall data and process flow and user interface applications
  
  
• 
  Participate in the design, development and implementation of the Platform supporting
  
  
• 
  Use the EDW Console to configure batches, execute ETL tasks and monitor health of the EDW
  
  
• 
  Implement security through a combination of data and application level using role-based user access
  
  
• 
  Coordinate with DBAs on capacity planning, data archival, data purging, transaction log maintenance as well as backup and data recovery
  
  
• 
  Supports on-going production operations and maintenance of current and legacy systems
  
  
• 
  As a Senior ETL Developer, you will apply design principals and architectural standards, including those that support security and auditing requirements
  
  
• 
  Develops strong working relationships with key project team members and customers to ensure activities are aligned with business objectives
  
  
• 
  Supports troubleshooting and problem resolution activities as needed, including acting as an escalation point for technical and process issues
  
  
• 
  Design and implementation of the next generation, cloud-based, enterprise data solution
  
  
• 
  Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Computer Science, Financial/Operating Systems Data Architecture, or a related technical field
  
  
• 
  8 years of related professional experience including 6 years in data warehousing development in large reporting environment(s)
  
  
• 
  6 years of experience in software development, using Microsoft SQL Server, Complex T-SQL, and T-SQL language (queries, views, procedures), SQL Server Database Design, Stored Procedure Design, and implementation
  
  
• 
  Must have a strong understanding of Kimball approach to data warehousing using denormalized star schemas, dimensional models, and snowflake
  
  
• 
  A strong understanding of Data Architecture, ETL Architecture, advanced SQL concepts and Data warehousing tools is required
  
  
• 
  Expert understanding of the application, database configuration, server configuration, VM, cluster, and network
  
  
• 
  Considerable background interacting with source system technical staff, data warehouse DBA, technical infrastructure team to develop the most efficient method to extract source data
  
  
• 
  Strong, proven, ETL development experience with SSIS
  
  
• 
  Deep understanding of overall data warehousing technical environment and strategic performance requirements
  
  
• 
  Hands on experience performance tuning database applications including indexing, with ability to interpret execution plans
  
  
  The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
