Development Engineer to support our teams in Tewksbury,
Massachusetts, onsite. You will work within the Air & Missile
Defense Software Department where our team aligns to the core Agile
and DevSecOps principles of collaborative operation across the
entire value stream, delivering high-frequency, high-quality
deployments to our customers. Our radar applications are developed
using C++, C, Java and Ada programming languages. Our continuous
integration & delivery pipelines utilize modern DevSecOps methods
and tools. We strive for technical excellence by drawing upon a
diverse workforce whose knowledge base covers the complete spectrum
of modern computing languages and platforms.What You Will Do
- Review software products for soundness of technical judgment
and adequacy
- Interact with senior software personnel through both written
and verbal communication.
- Produce documentation related to the design and release of
software artifacts.
- Develop complete software solutions, and influences the
successful completion of supported programs and projects.
- Understand and utilizes Agile and DevSecOps software
development methods, automation, and continuous integration.
- Follows organizational processes and procedures.
- Assist and participate in the requirements, design, development
and testing of real-time embedded software, application software,
and tools, to include development of new work products or
enhancement of existing applications and systems.
- Collaborate with project managers and other professionals
within Engineering.Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology,
Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 2 years of experience.
- Experience with C++, C, Java, Ada or similar higher level
programming language.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued
security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as
only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security
clearance.Qualifications We Prefer
- Active Secret security clearance.
- Knowledge of data structures and algorithms, systems software
design, operating systems, architectures, software development life
cycle and processes.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills, including
ability to produce technical documentation, and the desire to learn
new technologies and tools.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work
effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience developing software in a team-based development
environment, preferably Agile/SCRUM, DevOps and test
automation.
- Prior experience within Patriot software is highly desirable.
Familiarity with Raytheon software development process is also

This position is in Tewksbury, Massachusetts. Living in

states to call "home."The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD
- 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate
representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several
factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the
