Software Development Engineer to support our teams in Tewksbury,
Massachusetts. You will work within the Air & Missile Defense
Software Department on the Patriot Simulation team. - Patriot is
the world's pre-eminent air defense system, and we are currently
developing Patriot training software in support of new system
capabilities. - We strive for technical excellence by drawing upon
a diverse workforce whose knowledge base covers the complete
spectrum of modern languages and computing platforms.What You Will
Do
- The Patriot Simulation team develops Patriot test support
software to assist in tactical software integration and software
validation testing.---
- Will be working with a team of software engineers to
maintain/develop Patriot Simulation software.---
- Maintain existing functionality and develop new features for
Simulation software.
- Collaborate with other teams to support requirements analysis,
software integration, troubleshooting, and validation activities.

- Support generation of documentation including, - Requirements,
design documentation and Software Trouble Reports.
- This position requires onsite presence and extensive
interaction with other groups including Systems Design engineering
and the Software Development Team.
- Light travel may be required.
- Off hours testing (2nd or 3rd shift) occasionally may also be
required. -Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology,
Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 2 years of experience.
- Experience in Software Engineering.
- Experience with C/C++.
- Experience in a Unix/Linux operating system.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued
Secret security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is
required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security
clearance.Qualifications We Prefer
- Active Secret security clearance.
- Experience in developing software using object-oriented C/C++
and other Object Oriented programming languages.
- Experience with Network Communication Protocols.
- Experience in Shell Scripting (tcsh, csh, bash).
- Experience with software development tools like Git/Clearcase.

- This position is in Tewksbury, Massachusetts. Living in

- 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate
representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several
