Architect who shares our passion for precision, innovation, and
continuous improvement to help create the next benchmarks in luxury
audio products while maintaining the exceptional quality that
define the McIntosh and Sonus faber brands. Position Summary Luxury
Engineering is looking for a Principal Software Architect who will
be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining
product-level structures with a focus on quality and scalability.
Building on the Bose Corporation platform architecture, you will
leverage your strong system-level thinking, deep embedded and
connectivity expertise, and passion for robust, scalable products
in the development of products across our portfolio. You will be
supported by the corporate Systems Engineering, Architectures and
Platforms group; product architects; and development hardware
engineers. Key Responsibilities Provide technical leadership and
architectural direction for software structures powering high-end
audio products Collaborate closely with software, hardware,
product, and external partner teams to deliver luxury audio
experiences to market Design and implement reusable, modular
software architectures that accelerate product development and
improve maintainability Integrate Bluetooth and WiFi enabled
products with mobile devices, music players and broader ecosystems
Drive best practices in system design, code quality, performance,
and reliability Evaluate emerging technologies, monitor audiophile
and HiFi industry trends, and influence technology strategy and
tooling decisions Mentor and guide engineers, fostering a culture
of technical excellence and ownership Qualifications B.S. in
Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience;
advanced degree preferred 10 years of professional software
development experience with deep expertise in C/C++ Proven
experience designing and delivering complex, production-quality
software architectures Strong system-level thinker with a solid
understanding of operating systems (RTOS and Linux), APIs,
concurrency, and asynchronous programming Hands-on experience
writing and debugging multi-threaded software In-depth knowledge of
Bluetooth, WiFi, and network audio Expertise with software
development and debugging tools (e.g., editors, compilers, linkers,
debuggers) Experience using network protocol analyzers for
debugging Understanding of digital audio, including CoDecs and
ADC/DAC processes Understanding of mobile app (iOS and Android),
OTA and cloud services Excellent leadership, communication,
collaboration, and presentation skills High degree of ownership,
attention to detail, analytical mindset, and passion for delivering
high-quality solutions Desirable Attributes Passion for music,

thoughtfully tailored to your skills, experience, education, and
location, and goes beyond base salary. The hiring range for this
position in the primary work location of Framingham, Massachusetts
is: $173,000-$237,950.The hiring range for other Bose work
locations may vary.&xa;&xa;In addition to competitive base
