Principal Software Engineer Developer Job Description: An opportunity exists for a Principal Software Engineer Developer within the Missile Defense Radar Software Department in Woburn, Massachusetts to support our FSSM&I line.The Missile Defense Radar Software Department---s mission is to provide world class Missile Defense and Surveillance Radar Software to be used in radar systems deployed on land and sea. Our software teams employ an AGILE Scrum process to rapidly design, code, and integrate capabilities on a continuous basis into a mature solution for our customers. We strive for technical excellence by drawing upon a diverse workforce whose knowledge base covers the complete spectrum of modern computing languages and platforms.This position requires high level design, software development, integration, and testing of real-time FSSM&I software. The candidate will be responsible for architectural design, application design, and implementation of integrated Radar software applications. Our radar software applications are developed using Ada, C++ and Java programming languages running on a variety of computing platforms running Linux or UNIX operating systems.The candidate will be expected to be a key contributor for complex development tasks and be able to provide technical leadership in multiple areas of software engineering. This position requires understanding of real-time software design and the ability to recognize the performance implications associated with specific detail implementations.
