The Paralegal will join a collegial and experienced Legal team,
providing support with contracting issues, corporate governance
matters, responses to subpoenas and litigation holds, document
destruction requests, addition of contracts to the firm's contract
management software, legal mailbox management and email filing, and
any other broader departmental needs. The Paralegal will
collaborate closely with consulting staff and other administrative
teams as necessary to provide high level of service and to support
overall risk management function of the Legal department.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the contract management process, including
reviewing and filing emails related to contracts; updating internal
databases with relevant contract terms; reporting on relevant
contract terms, and keeping track of deadlines, expirations and
renewals.
- Support the Legal team in their review of contracts (engagement
letters, Master Service Agreements, confidentiality agreements),
including reviewing final drafts and following up as appropriate
with consulting staff through the execution process.
- Support, as needed, Legal team in review of protective orders,
billing guidelines, and associated terms and conditions.
- Generate template agreements, as needed.
- Assist with Legal mailbox management, including filing
emails.
- Assist with the organization and maintenance of corporate
records of the company and its international subsidiaries; assist
with the maintenance of trademark and other registrations.
- Support the Legal team with tasks such as data entry,
retrieving court information, and updating contract management
software information.
- Provide ongoing document management system maintenance,
including updating internal reference documents and templates.
- Provide other general support to Legal department as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree required. Paralegal certificate
preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience required.
Substantive experience in a professional service firm or large law
firm preferred.
- An ideal candidate will have 3-6 years of relevant
experience.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment and appropriately
prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication abilities,
including strong customer service skills.
- Collaborative and curious with a desire to learn.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word,
and Excel) and SharePoint preferred.
