RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has a client in Boston, MA that is seeking a Chief Accounting Officer. This role is currently 100% remote and may switch back to office environment when COVID-19 ramps down. Key Tasks: * Lead accounting operations* Develop financial operations* Oversee the cost accounting model* Oversee general ledger functions* Own the financial statement audit* Own technical accounting matters* Oversee tax compliance* Design, implement, and evaluate internal controls* Work to improve financial processes and reporting* Work to streamline the month-end close process* Manage capital asset valuation and tracking* Lead the development and implementation of accounting policiesJob Requirements:REQUIREMENTS:* CPA certification* Experience in a leadership role at a public company* Previous IPO experience within an R&D startup* Experience designing and implementing new systems/processes* Experience with M&A due diligence/integrations is desired* Life science/biotechnology industry experience is preferred* Experience with NetSuite & Blackline systems is preferredKforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
