The Medical Assistant is responsible for supporting the practice
with overall responsibility for maintaining efficiency of patient
flow. The Medical Assistant's primary function will be to support a
Specialty Clinic practice. However, at the Practice Manager's
discretion, will support all the Specialty Practices as needed.
Will be responsible for greeting all patients in an appropriate
manner, assisting in removing shoes or braces if needed, neck, back
and arm supports, provide a brief report to provider before patient
visits with provider, assist with routine and complex procedures
and assist in determining reason for patient visit with the
provider. He/She will be responsible for all of the tracking of
various tests and/or screening for the patients being seen in the
clinic. The Medical Assistant II will also be responsible for
maintaining patient rooms, settting up and stocking, as well as
ordering and tracking supplies for the practice. Administrative
responsibilities will include, without limitation, all generally
accepted office responsibilities, making appointments, filing,
answering phones, preparing correspondence, preparing patient
charts, obtaining referrals and paperwork from referring provider's
office and ensuring patient's tests/studies/results are tracking in
an accurate and thorough manner. The Medical Assistant II will work
closely with the providers as well as the rest of the team to
ensure the patients receive optimal care.
Greets patients coming in for appointments in a professional
manner and escorts them into patient exam rooms.
- Assist with varied procedures within the practice including
both routine and non-routine (complex) procedures as directed and
under the supervision of the MD, NP, DPM, DO and/or PA. (The extent
and complexity of procedures will be practice specific and need to
have documentation of why considered complex).
a. Provide a variety of services including: assisting providers
in all minor procedures and wound care as requested.

providers, staff and patients.
