Job Description:

Watts is looking for a driven Specification Programs Specialist responsible for overseeing the development, execution, and measurement of specification programs designed to target the engineer and design community. This individual works closely with our specification program vendors and communications team to grow brand exposure, make program updates, and measure results. The Specification Programs Specialist also works closely with Sales to evaluate and promote new programs and tools to support product specification. This individual develops and executes an annual plan designed to grow engineer and designer preference for our products.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Evaluating, managing, and measuring growth of various specification programs
  • Developing support and promotional tools to reach engineers and designers
  • Creating and executing outbound and inbound communications targeting engineers & designers
  • Developing and promoting continuous education unit (CEU) courses and conducting webinars
  • Developing and executing annual specification programs plan
  • Researching trends and best practices to reach the design community

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Engineering, or a related field.

MANAGEMENT:

  • This position has no direct reports.

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in Marketing, Communications, or Engineering
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing an annual marketing plan
  • Experience marketing to engineers and designers
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written and demonstrated writing ability
  • A team player who is able to prioritize work independently, time management skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
