Interventional - The Interventional business unit at Teleflex offers innovative medical devices that are used to diagnose and treat coronary and peripheral vascular diseases. Position Summary

The Sr. Manufacturing Planner will have an opportunity to work in the Global Operations Supply Chain organization in a growing and transformational environment. He/she will be responsible for creating the master schedule, optimizing work center manufacturing plans, and performing supply planning responsibilities. This position will be responsible for the overall inventory performance and customer service levels within their respective product lines and responsible to align all stakeholders to the plan and processes. This person will also be responsible to create the supply review for the plant, gathering data and performing analysis to make proposals to act upon. Managing the build plan and comparing it to the annual operating plan and strategic plan. Completing capacity planning to support staffing and capital equipment requirements. This position will analyze sales forecast, system-generated net requirements, and create scenarios based on business needs. Managing in an SAP/APO system to ensure the correct build signal is received and executed at the plant, while always being flexible to change. Continuously improve cost, quality and delivery in every aspect of the position. This position will be the central point of contact for manufacturing operations, customer service, engineering, marketing and demand planning on supply chain issues. The Sr. Manufacturing Planner will demonstrate a high level of decision-making skills and will have the ability to work autonomously.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Manage daily, weekly and monthly site planning processes to support global customers on-time delivery
  • Manage net requirements, past due production orders, and past-due planned orders
  • Facility weekly schedule adherence reviews and supply review meetings
  • Proactively identify and problem solve material shortages impacting the build plans
  • Provide scenario plans based on business issues
  • Identify opportunities and execute projects to achieve service level, build plan and inventory objectives
  • Facilitate manufacturing supply planning handshake process
  • Support the Sales and Operations Process (S&OP) process
  • Perform master data review and maintenance as required
  • Manage inventory to achieve targeted objectives
  • Provide projections for subassemblies and finished goods inventory
  • Provide recovery plan analysis
  • Facilitate new product introductions process - including pre-production builds, launch builds and product commercialization
  • Own and improve production planning processes, tools and systems
  • Work with key business partners and customers throughout the value stream
  • Use knowledge, skills and experience to improve the cost, quality and delivery of products

Education / Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 5+ years of professional experience in a manufacturing planning, supply planning, demand planning or supply chain function
  • Knowledge and experience in ERP software system (SAP preferred)
  • Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office - Excel and Power Point
  • Passionate about continuous improvement

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

  • Knowledge & experience with Sales and Operations Planning process
  • Industrial Engineering degree/experience a plus
  • Experience in planning vertically integrated manufacturing
  • APICS certification a plus
  • Experience in driving continuous improvement and or project management
