The Role

This senior leader will build and lead the Global Sales Accounts business across all regions. They will leverage existing relationships with contacts in key global accounts to uncover expansion opportunities and drive customer retention. They will build and drive a high performing team to success. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced, high-energy individual who enjoys prospecting and has demonstrated leadership and hunter style sales experience and DNA.

This role requires a credible and experienced leader who is highly organized and disciplined and is comfortable interfacing with a diverse audience. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in growing revenue in large enterprises.

Your Impact

  • Drive sales strategy in our top tier global accounts
  • Build strong executive level relationships in the top global accounts
  • Leverage relationships in an assigned set of existing enterprise accounts to prospect and close new business opportunities with additional decision makers, including a wide range of marketing and demand generation titles, as well as corporate communications, training, IT, procurement and sales.
  • Partner with executive team on executive outreach to VP- and C-level contacts on the targeted accounts, including assisting on long-term account strategy
  • Lead direct reporting team and cross functional team, partner with international team to service, retain and grow global enterprise customers
  • Hire, manage, develop, coach and mentor a world-class team, fostering a positive, results-oriented culture by leading by example
  • Support the team in negotiations and take the lead as required
  • Day to day management activities including coaching mentoring, account planning, performance management, metric pacing, pipeline generation, and forecasting
  • Develop and enforce processes to track and improve the performance of team members. Ensure overall team success
  • Drive continuous improvement on sales processes, operational processes that impact our Global Accounts
  • Raise the standard of team performance to increase revenue generation and customer satisfaction
  • Keep current with all AspenTech product information, pricing and contract terms

What You'll Need

  • A Bachelor's degree required; MBA beneficial
  • 10+ years account relationship management experience with major accounts
  • 10+ years selling software
  • Skilled in positioning and selling solutions
  • Track record of developing and executing against complex account strategies
  • Experience driving innovation and transformation
  • History and track record of achievement of revenue objectives
  • Cross-LOB team management experience - international team management is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills; able to communicate and present at Board level
  • Proven leadership experience, managing and driving the performance of a global team
