The System Design & Architecture Directorate is the central focus for Mission Systems Integration activities within Raytheon Missiles & Defense (RMD). Are You Ready To Engineer a Safer World? The Air and Missile Defense Systems (AMDS) Department is looking for Systems Engineers with the technical expertise and engineering leadership skills to drive the design and development of world-class Air and Missile Defense Systems. The AMDS Department supports RMD by providing world class Weapon Systems Engineering. Domain Expertise includes Radar Systems, Effector Systems, Battle Management, Command and Control, Network Design, Battlespace Integration and Interoperability for Domestic and International customers. In our experience, diversity of talent and thought is what drives innovation and we are looking for motivated engineers who will be responsible for performing Systems Engineering studies and trades, supporting System Requirements definition and analysis, algorithm development, integration, test and evaluation.

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in the field of engineering or related technical discipline
  • Experience in requirements development and design of system level architecture
  • Experience leading a multi-disciplined, technical team with the ability to develop, empower, motivate and monitor the team
  • Proven ability to develop technical solutions to complex issues
  • Proven technical analysis, including trouble shooting and root cause identification
  • Strong analytic, technical, and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication, technical writing, oral presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • This position requires either a U.S. Person or a Non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.

Desired Skills:

  • Proven experience with current air defense programs with specific experience in large, complex systems.
  • Proven ability to interface with customers and lead technical solutions to complex User requirements
  • Knowledge of radar systems
  • Experience with signal processing techniques, system control
  • Knowledge of Electronic Warfare/Electronic Attack/Electronic Protection Techniques
  • Previous military service with US Army PATRIOT system
  • Understanding of defense design / planning process
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, DOORS
  • Existing DoD Security Clearance

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics or related discipline.
