This position is responsible for the planning, management, and execution of product development projects in accordance with the Integra Design Control Process and other related standard operating procedures.  The Project Manager will lead small to medium size projects or work streams within larger projects utilizing cross-functional teams consisting of product development, marketing, regulatory, clinical, quality, manufacturing, and procurement personnel, among others.  Projects will cover New Product Development, Sustaining Engineering, and other technical support functions for the CSS Division.

 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

 

  • Lead and manage small and medium functional projects or work stream within larger projects in compliance with the established Integra Design Control process and standard operating procedures.
  • Deliver projects according to the defined objectives, on time and within budget.
  • Develop, update, and maintain detailed project plans and schedules.
  • Prepare and present regular project update presentations for Management.
  • Serve as a team leader motivating and driving cross-functional team performance, including external suppliers.
  • Facilitate and coordinate project team meetings, including meeting agendas, minutes, decisions, and key conclusions and action items.
  • Create and audit project appropriate sections of Design History Files and documentation
  • Periodic travel to Integra locations, as well as travel to and attendance at medical device industry related events, design labs, and surgeon meetings.
  • Coordinate with functional managers to identify and resource assigned projects.

Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications


  • Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering, science, or related discipline from an accredited university or college or comparable applied experience related to medical device Product Development.
  • 3+ years of experience in project management or compensatory experience in related functional discipline.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and projects.
  • Experience with medical devices, design control and medical device regulations (e.g., FDA, EU) and standards preferred.
  • Employ good interpersonal, communication, listening, and negotiation skills with all levels of personnel and management to facilitate information flow between team and stakeholders.
