Job Description

Focusing on US market, the Business Development Executive is responsible for representing Informa Maritime Intelligence, predominantly focusing on supporting and renewing client's contracts and sourcing new clients to our subscription-based publications; as well as providing product training to high-profile global clients. Whilst growing and retaining the subscription-based portfolio, the Account Manager will also be selling across Maritime Intelligences marketing services. This is a high-profile position that will play a key role in the growth of the territory and will suit a dynamic sales professional who enjoys both account management and cultivating new business.

Day-to-day Responsibilities

Secure Subscription and Marketing Services revenues in line with Maritime / Transportation Portfolio needs and personal targets, building and maintaining a strong forecasted pipeline of opportunities across the Middle East
Proactively hunting for new business opportunities, strategically targeting organizations that do not currently engage with our products and services and closing them as per forecast
Developing existing client relationships, articulating ROI for client to strengthen case for renewals
Identifying and maximizing opportunities to cross / up sell within all key accounts
Working with client to build bespoke marketing services campaigns including custom content, research and thought leadership programs
Defining and delivering a sales plan, managing a robust pipeline and prepare accurate sales forecasts, new growth ideas and contingency plans
Meeting required KPIs to ensure your client facing activity beats standards and expectations
Ensuring all major customers have contract terms that reflect the preferred business model for Informa
Business partnering with internal teams to ensure effective delivery throughout the client lifecycle
Becoming an expert in the product, market and territory to deliver unparalleled customer service

Qualifications

Several years b2b sales experience within portfolio sales, preferably in Data, Subscription or Marketing Services in GCC
Working knowledge of the Maritime or Finance industry would be highly desirable
Proven track record in winning new business and developing key accounts
Demonstrable experience influencing, engaging with and selling to senior management
A confident and articulate verbal and written communicator who can foster strong relationships both internally and externally
Possesses excellent prioritization skills, has the foresight to anticipate obstacles and displays tenacity in overcoming them
Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM
