Vericast is searching for a creative Senior User Experience
Researcher to join our UX team. The ideal candidate has experience
utilizing a full range of research methods and tools to capture
user findings, uncover actionable insights, and provide
recommendations on product and organization strategies. This
position will be responsible for performing qualitative and
quantitative user research and testing Vericast's product suite
while collaborating with Product Managers and UX Designers during
the concept, research, and post-testing phases.

Effectively communicate analysis findings by presenting documented
recommendations and potential solutions that inspire new ideas and
drive future product design improvements.
Curiosity - 20%
Proactively identify new research and testing opportunities that
offer actionable insights.
Actively participate in team brainstorming and solution generation
by collaborating with other UX and Product team members.
Quality - 30%
Create effective research plans that identify product goals,
objectives, and testing methods.
Develop user studies that vary in approach, scale, scope,
timeframe, and methodologies for multiple products.
Help measure user behaviors and identify pain points that will
inform future design patterns.
Collaborate with product management and key stakeholders during the
concept, research, and post-testing phases.
Leadership - 25%
Help the UX team understand what our users are doing and why.
Lead and incorporate a variety of research methodologies such as
usability testing, contextual inquiries, focus groups, surveys,
card sorting activities, persona/scenario development, and
unmoderated or remote studies.
Create and execute user-recruiting programs.
Help mentor and develop other UXers in both research and design
5+ years of hands-on experience conducting user experience research
Degree in Design, Human Factors, Human Computer Interaction,
Cognitive Psychology or other field related to user experience
Proven track record influencing product direction with actionable
Ability to choose the appropriate research method for a given
problem or situation.
Experience with early-stage design, ideation techniques, and
generative research methods.
Strong understanding of strengths and shortcomings of different
research methods, including when and how to apply them during each
Familiarity with online survey tools such as SurveyMonkey,
Qualtrics, Google Forms, or others.
Superior communication and presentation skills; ability to
articulate your research insights (verbally and visually).
