Description:Greater Boston Convention & Visitors Bureau (GBCVB)
is seeking an International & Group Tour Coordinator to assist the
International meetings, travel and group tour market with the
day-to-day activities that will increase the business from these
markets on an annual basis. The individual will provide destination
services to fulfill the needs of planers of meetings, group tours
and individual travelers.Responsibilities
- Conduct personalized and efficient assistance to planners
interested in hosting an event in Greater Boston
- Provide companies and/or individuals with publications and
materials (photos, B-Roll, Boston text) and social media (Facebook,
Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, Linked In) to assist with
promoting their time in Boston
- Work with city officials on personalized welcome letters and
permits
- Provide information on advertising and marketing opportunities
in the city
- Coordinate logistics for internal and external departmental
meetings
- Assist in coordinating work-related trade shows and travel for
the department
- Assist in coordinating site inspections for the department by
scheduling appointments and preparing itineraries
- Assist with creating presentations
- Track and fulfill requests received through all channels
including but not limited to Bostonusa.com, email and phone
- Assist department in coordination and execution of educational
trips and site visits
- Additional projects and services as requestedConduct
daily/weekly:
- Attend weekly and monthly GBCVB membership activities
- Maintain current account information for activity in the
CRM
- Conduct post-meeting follow up with tour groups
- Work closely with the GBCVB Sales Team, the Destination
Services team, the Marketing team, the City of Boston and the MA
Office of Travel & Tourism to ensure a cohesive message from the
Boston hospitality community
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Requirements:
- College graduate or equivalent public-facing work
experience
- Hospitality industry experience is a plus
- Excellent aptitude for professionalism, organization, attention
to detail, responsiveness, and follow-up required
- Technical proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe, Photoshop,
and social media required
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
required
- Must be available to work some evenings and weekends
- Working knowledge of the city and a passion for hospitality is
an assetJob Type:
- Full-time, Monday to Friday; some weekend and evening work
required
- Hybrid work schedule: 3 days in office / 2 days remote, subject
to change in the future
