Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Institute
is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our organization
in the Division of Chronic Disease Research Across the Lifecourse
(CORAL). In this position, the Research Assistant will conduct data
work for several grants in the Project Viva portfolio, based at the
Department of Population Medicine (DPM). The DPM is jointly
sponsored by Harvard Medical School and Harvard Pilgrim Health Care
Institute. The Research Assistant will conduct data-related tasks
such as report generation, data validation, and database updates,
create datasets as needed, and prepare relevant tables and figures
as needed. They will also perform several administrative tasks
including regular data uploads to the relevant data repositories
and participant research consent tracking and validation.Job
Description
- Support data management work of the Project Viva cohort,
including data cleaning, creation and preparation of relevant
datasets, querying existing data to be used for the various grants
and grant partners, managing data import and export as relates to
the grants, and synthesizing relevant data for presentation as
needed to internal and external collaborators.
- Support database creation, data problem identification and
resolution, and results reporting. Assist in data quality control
activities.
- Develop knowledge of the cohort's longitudinal data and dataset
structure to assist in identifying ways to streamline data
management and increase usability of existing data.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with internal staff and
external study partners. Attend staff, data/operations, and
co-investigator meetings for multiple projects.
- May coordinate outreach to targeted community for specific
research.
- May administer questionnaires through personal interviews and
records data. Follows up as appropriate if additional documentation
or clarification is needed.
- May process incoming mail and maintain files
- Other duties and projects as assigned.Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent plus 2+ years related
experience; Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
- Capable of completing very detail-oriented tasks.

skills
