Job Description:

PURPOSE
Under the direction of the Assistant Vice President - Loan Operations, the Loan Servicing Specialist, Quality Control is responsible for ensuring that the Bank maintains a sound loan portfolio with respect to compliance with Bank's Loan policy and procedures as well as state and federal laws. Conduct, monitor, track, and report all departments' self- audits. Monitors compliance with regulatory guidelines and internal policy and procedures to minimize any risks for the Bank.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitor overall quality and accuracy of loan data and documentation.
Ensure timely quality control corrections.
Perform file review for Commercial/Construction loan modifications, extensions, renewals and transfers of all construction to permanent loans.
Ensure data and documentation accuracy along with compliance with time frames.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the Bank's lending products.
Perform department self-monitoring reviews to ensure compliance with state and federal laws and regulations and Bank's lending policies and procedures.
Track and monitor and prepare reports regarding risk, compliance and policy findings found during department reviews findings and recommend and implement remediation plans.
Manage internal and external audit requests and inquiries.
Work with manager to enhance new loan set-up and post-closing documentation process.
Stay current with of all compliance and regulatory changes and ensure department procedures are updated to reflect changes in laws or regulations
Recommend changes to policies and procedures to minimize risk and avoid audit findings.
Assist with testing of new system enhancements, upgrades, new products, or program changes. Including execution of tests to validate system functionality against specifications to seek resolution to issues and improved efficiencies.
Assist in training loan operations staff regarding compliance/regulatory matters.
Complete all internal Bank training as assigned and required.
Exhibit ability and desire to embrace and enhance the Dedham Savings culture.
Perform additional duties as requested, needed, or assigned.

Strong written and verbal communication skills for the reporting of results.
Ability to work independently
Advanced Excel, Word, Power Point.
Strong teamwork, and interpersonal skills
Good planning and organizational skills
Ability to organize time and work independently
Ability to work well as a member of the loan servicing team.
Ability to prepare management reports accurately and timely.
