This role is the heart of everything we do to empower the emotionally complex journeys of personal discovery that our customers experience when engaged with any number of our product experiences.
Reporting directly to the Director of UX & Design, you will contribute to a self-starting, entrepreneurial, and cross-functional team with bold blue sky ideation, rapid prototyping, and experimentation to unlock new user segments and problem spaces. Challenge: Ensure that Ancestry is a product for everyone. There are no limits to what you do to meet that challenge.What You Will Do:

• 
  
• Guide the UX and visual design efforts from start to finish - from problem definition to design implementation.
  
• Partner with product managers on developing product strategy and definition.
  
• Translate quantitative data and qualitative insights into creative solutions.
  
• Craft all deliverables and artifacts (e.g. workflow diagrams, sitemaps, content inventories, user flows, wireframes, final design, and navigation systems)
  
• Participate in generative research and comprehensive user testingCollaborate with other designers to maintain design consistency and cohesionSet the bar for quality of execution
  Who You Are:
  • 
    
  • You thrive in ambiguity
    
  • Proficient with modern prototyping tools
    
  • Experienced at collaborating with product leadership, design managers, and cross-functional stakeholders
    
  • Are systems-level design thinker and excited to distill complex workflows into simple and elegant solutions
    
  • At least 6+ years of industry experience as a UX designer, interaction designer, or similar design-related role
    
  • Have a portfolio of desktop, mobile, and native digital products and consumer experiences
