Job Description We're seeking an Enrollment & Eligibility Specialist to perform underwriting, eligibility and enrollment functions pertaining to our private exchange business. The position requires the timely and accurate response to and resolution of client specific requirements in order to ensure appropriate access to health care services. Successful candidates will have strong decision making and analytical abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional service. Responsibilities Responsible for the timely and accurate response to and resolution of client specific requirements in order to ensure appropriate access to health care services: Respond quickly and accurately to all requests and inquiries, demonstrating expertise and knowledge of products and processes. Facilitate escalations when appropriate. Researches, analyzes and resolves membership applications and/or electronic enrollment reports for processing. Effectively communicate with clients, brokers and carriers to confirm information submitted is accurate and ensure the timely effectuation of new coverages and changes to existing coverages. Respond to sales and broker inquiries regarding the status of new applications. Maintain a thorough and up-to-date understanding of health insurance carrier eligibility guidelines and processes. Serve as the go-to resource for addressing documentation and process requirements. Support annual open enrollment initiatives and the annual/quarterly plan renewal process. Participate in efforts related to the development and documentation of department policies and procedures. Navigate a computerized data entry system and other relevant applications. Additional duties as assigned. Qualifications: BA/BS degree in business or related field. Excellent communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills. Ability to effectively multi-task and possess excellent attention to detail with exceptional follow-up skills. Analytical skills with the ability to learn and apply new concepts and technologies quickly and efficiently. Proven track record of dependability and reliability with an exemplary attendance record Self-motivated with the ability to work well independently and as part of a team with minimal direct supervision. Passion for driving innovation, encouraging growth, and striving for constant improvement. Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, with the ability to analyze and manipulate data from multiple sources. Prior experience in the health insurance industry is a plus.
