Job Description:
Boston Metal is commercializing cutting edge extractive
metallurgy technology that will revolutionize primary metals
production by improving metal quality while decreasing cost and
lowering environmental impact. This fast-paced startup company is
looking for an R&D Alloy Development Scientist to join our
passionate team.
The role will have primary responsibility in developing,
manufacturing/casting and characterizing alloys based on properties
requirement. The candidate will be an individual contributor
actively leading and coordinating hands-on alloy development and
testing research.
Collaboration with R&D, Engineering, Supply Chain and external
vendors will be required to enable prototyping, scale up, and
manufacturing activities.
Required Experience5+ years in research or engineering experience
in technical environment conducting alloy design, casting, and
characterization activities in support of industrial/commercial
activities.
PhD Degree from accredited university or college in one or more of
the following areas: Metallurgical or Materials Science
Engineering, Physical Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering.Desired
