Desired Qualifications:

• B.S. in Engineering, Computer Science from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience performing testing and certification of application and system functionality.
• 2+ years of experience in application, functional, or system testing in the IT development/Quality Assurance field
• Expert with all aspects of Microsoft Office and other Microsoft products. (InfoPath, Word, Excel, Access, Project, XML, MS SQL Server, SharePoint, VSS, OR Microsoft Windows);
• Familiar with using QA tools, writing test plans, test cases, and test scripts, a good understanding of QA methodologies.
• Familiar with web testing technologies, PC hardware platforms, and MS Operating Systems.
• Related experience with client/server databases and reporting tools; enhanced knowledge of SQL, database structure, and database design
• Experience with REST API testing and understanding of SDLC and change management
• Working knowledge of various EDI formats including X12 formats (837, 999, 277)
• Ability to understand and assist with the conversion of business requirements into technical specifications and cross-reference them to test scenarios and test cases
• Enhanced knowledge of software quality assurance methodology and practice; a good understanding of systems and applications with the ability and desire to learn.
  JOB DETAILS: Insight Global is looking for an IT QA Lead to be responsible for testing application functionality, integration and system testing, and related activities including, but not limited to, Quality Assurance and Quality testing projects; writing and maintaining test plans, test cases, and test scripts; logging bugs ("issues") and updating them throughout the bug life cycle and system life cycle through closing and documentation. Coordinate and prepare for UAT and solution testing/sign-off, report accurate and detailed testing status, identify risks and possible workarounds; may work individually or as part of a team to develop, test, install, and modify programs. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Quality Testing
  • Extracts business requirements from relevant sources: documentation, meetings, emails, among others; and to ensure the project documents are updated accordingly
  • Creates and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts, both manual and automated, and to revise as needed to reflect changing requirements
  • Reviews deliverables prepared by test team
  • Follows our project methodology and rigorously enforce project quality standards
  • Prepares reports, reviews, and quality assurance procedures as needed
  • Minimizes exposure and risk on project(s)
  • Ensures project documents are complete, current, reviewed by the appropriate parties, and archived correctly and quicklyCommunication
    • Participates in regular status meetings with project team
    • Keeps the project team informed of changes to the product and testing challenges
    • Communicates relevant project information to team members, IT App Dev Manager, and relevant stake-holders
    • Translates business requirements into documented, repeatable test cases
    • Contributes to developing test cases for user training if required by project implementation
    • Proactively attempts to resolve issues, and escalate when necessaryTechnical Understanding
      • Improves process and quality via test and process automation: defining right strategy and technology based on process and architecture assessment by engaging different roles and stakeholders
      • Deep practical experience with cutting edge tools for Web, Mobile, Desktop, DB and Web-service testing (such as Selenium, Jenkins, and ZaProxy)
      • Working knowledge of SQL in order to validate test cases within a SQL database
      • Experience with testing REST APIs with tools such as Postman
      • Understanding of and experience with EDI formats such as X12 (837, 999, 277), flat files, delimited files, XML, and JSON
      • Understands business requirements from documentation, business meetings, emails, and other sources.
      • Effectively applies our project methodology and enforces project standards
      • Ensures assigned project documents are accurate, complete, current, and stored appropriately
      • Must be experienced working on Internet, Intranet, and Extranet-based systems, and client/server architectures
      • Must keep abreast of new and emerging technologies and their potential application in existing business processes and systemsTeamwork

          Leadership
          • Responsible for leading / managing the off-shore QA staff and doing development of the regression testing.
          • Meet with other managers, BAs, and QA staff to develop a plan/strategy for all of Automation QA for IT NetOps.
