Keurig Brewers utilize advanced technology to provide the Perfect Cup, in every cup. This product development team is responsible for end-to-end research, design, manufacture, and delivery of all beverage appliances for the At Home and Away from Home market segments. The team is the heart of an initiative transforming the iconic brand for the next era. Working in a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment, the Product Engineer II will be involved in all phases of Keurig Appliance development with an emphasis on helping th e team define the best-in-class beverage delivery performance of our products . We need to both understand where we can improve versus our competition and create a vision of the future that will help us chart a path beyond what we imagine is possible today . In addition to the Performance attribute , you will help support the delivery of best-in-class delivery in other important product attributes such as Craftsmanship , Ease of Use and Aesthetics. These are some of the characteristics that help in this type of work: Endless Curiosity: We cannot be satisfied with the status quo. We want to know more about our consumers and their perceptions as well as more about our products and our competitors . Bias Towards Action: Work to understand what data is needed, systematically plan, roll up our sleeves, and act on data driven recommendations. This may mean we may need to tear down products , build prototypes, and run some tests to get the answers were looking for. Comfort with Ambiguity : Everyone who works on Keurig appliances is jointly responsible for developing leading products. To succeed, we need to go beyond only uncovering an idea or insight . We need to take the next step to develop insights and search out people who can help us build knowledge and impact change . This is a hybrid position within our Global Product Organization based out of our Chicago , I L office or our Burlington , M A office . This role will follow a working model of three days in the office, two days working remotely . Your responsibilities and deliverables will include Support attribute focused projects through our advanced development process to build reusable knowledge for downstream development processes Reference existing research and synthesize analysis from it Build physical prototypes or theoretical models that are used to understand trade spaces Design and conduct experiments Partner with internal or external resources to conduct consumer research Design and support performance benchmarking of Keurig and competitive products Determine key performance characteristics for competitive products Measure, d evelop and provide key insights to attribute leader and project teams Contribute to target setting activities on both advanced development and development projects Refine and improve analysis approach in partnership with attribute leader and the advanced development team Support continuous improvement activities across multiple product attributes Multiple opportunities, some examples below Requirements library refinement Correlation of our consumer feedback to the performance of our products and developing refined views of priorities Partner with other team members to develop new measurement methods or models Work with various product attribute leaders and subsystem teams on requirements decomposition for product attributes Support attribute leaders and other key stakeholders to develop and maintain long term strategy for our key product attributes Some occasional domestic travel with international travel opportunities
Requirements

Bachelors degree in relevant field 2 + years of relevant experience Preferred experience s and skills Masters degree in relevant field Prior experience with LabVIEW Familiarity with m odeling /simulation techniques or tools Modelica / Dymola , Matlab Simulink, CFD, FEA, or other physics-based modeling Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt N ew product development process experience Experience speaking the languages of consumer insights, marketing, engineering, design, and analytics and Experience in quantifying the relationship between consumer perception and product attributes .
