Position: Student Support Coordinator (Immediate
Opening)Location: Boston, MA (Match High School in Brighton and
Match Middle School in Jamaica Plain)Start date: ASAP is a free,
high-performing charter public school in Boston. We are a PreK-12

diversity .OVERVIEW OF ROLEThe MS/HS Student Support Coordinator is
responsible for ensuring the overall compliance of 504
accommodation plans and supporting campus based special education
directors in the overall compliance of the MatchMiddle School and
Match High Schools special education program. The MS/HS Student
Support Coordinator supervises instructional aides across the two
campuses, supports our schools special education directors,
teachers, and specialists, and consults with other school based
staff. The Student Support Coordinator will work both at our high
school campus on 1001 Commonwealth Ave. in Brighton and our middle
school campus on 215 Forest Hills St. in Jamaica Plain. This
position reports directly to the Network Special Education
Coordinator.RESPONSIBILITIESSpecial Education Team Support
Supervise aides and/or related service providers Facilitate 504 and
IEP Team meetings Provide technical support for special education
staff on the IEP database (ESPED). Support and teach staff how to
write 504s, IEPs, progress reports, etc.Compliance Ensure the file
system is current and in compliance with state and federal
regulations. Develop/Supervise procedures for progress monitoring.
Supervise and monitor special education evaluations, report writing
and IEP development. Ensure 504s and IEPs are consistently high
quality and all deadlines are met. Ensure systems for tracking
parent signatures pertaining to 504 and special education notices.
Ensure thorough IEP progress reports are sent home to parents with
school report cards and filed in student special education folders.
Coordinate the translation of all IEPs, 504 plans, evaluation
reports, progress reports, and other notices to families, as
needed. Ensure student door to door busing and extended school year
services are provided. Support the coordination and implementation
of student MCAS accommodations. Coordinate and support the MCASalt
process.Strategic Planning and Resource Allocation Use data to
inform program decisions (ensure staff collect and input data).
Work with school leaders to track monthly special education
expenses and create the annual budget.QUALIFICATIONSQualified
applicants for this position have: A strong track record of success
and student achievementfor special education students. At least 4
years of experience teaching, teacher coaching and/or in student
support. A MastersDegreein Special Education,or related field,
strongly preferred. A valid and appropriate license issued by the
Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, or
obtain the licensure by date of hire; Detail oriented and highly
organized with strong analytical writing skills. Strong knowledge
