As a Senior Research Associate at ICON you'll learn more about how
you can be a vital part of ICON Central Laboratories which is
dedicated exclusively to central laboratory testing and the
associate services for clinical trials.
The role
**To be successful in the role, you will have:**
--- Perform experiments within the Research & Development Lab,
developing assays, and collaborating with the R&D team to
present publications and marketing material.
--- Prepare reagents as needed, maintain quality control records,
compile any required statistical data and maintain the cleanliness
of work area as well as oversee performance of required manual
procedures and operation of automated instrumentation
--- As a mentor for the R&D Lab you will guide Research
Associates I and II in method development and fit-for purpose
validation, data analysis and statistical review for new cell-based
assays. Supervise R&D activities to ensure efficient and
effective processes are in use, while striving for continuous
quality improvement including instrument operation,
standardization, and inventory control
What you need:
-Wet bench scientist with strong molecular biology experience
-The candidate should have PhD, MS, or BA in molecular biology,
genetics, genomics or related fields.
-A minimum of 2 years post graduate experience in NGS analysis is
preferred.
-A background in oncology and clinical assay development experience
is a plus. -The candidate should have hands-on experience with
molecular techniques.
-Fluent usage of informatics tools and programming skills are not
required but appreciated.
