POSITION SUMMARY: The barback assists the bartenders and other bar staff by ensuring the bar is properly stocked, frozen daiquiri machines are filled with product and clean at all times.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Keep machines filled with product and the product in the machine hopper stirredWork to restock glassware/plasticware and maintain bar supplies throughout the course of the shiftChange kegs when requiredMake trips to the storage area to keep alcohol supplies stocked throughout the course of the shiftPick up empty glasses, plastic cups and bottles from the bar and tables in the bar areaEmpty trash as necessaryWipe down bar tops and tables as necessaryRe-stock garnishes and bar mixesEnsure there is enough clean glassware/plasticware for bartendersRe-stock ice as neededMaintain a clean work station and clean bar towels in each bartenders stationQUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:Excellent communication skills to connect effectively with co-workers and guestsPossess the ethics and positive attitude that support our values and cultureAbility to multi-task, prioritize, and organizeEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:Must be at least 18 years of ageESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS:Must have the ability/stamina to work a minimum of (15) hours a weekAbility to stand/walk for 2-6 hours per dayMust be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.Will frequently reach, feel, bend, stoop, carryMust be able to work in both warm and cool environments, indoors and outdoorsMust be able to tolerate higher levels of noise from music and customer trafficWork environment: exposure to food, liquor, mixing devices, drink machines, water, sanitizers, cleaning products, knives, other sharp objects, and slippery floors
