Job Description:
Our client is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to develop application software. The Senior Software Engineer will write and implement efficient code. The Senior Software Engineer researches, designs, develops, and implements software applications and systems. The Senior Software Engineer will be involved in the planning of system and development deployment as well as responsible for meeting software compliance standards. The Senior Software Engineer will evaluate designs and implement interface between hardware and software operational requirements cloud offering system architecture security and characteristics of overall system. The Senior Software Engineer will research, design, implement, and manage software programs. The Senior Software Engineer will identify areas for modification in existing programs and subsequently developing these modifications. The Senior Software Engineer will determine operational practicality. The Senior Software Engineer will document testing client experience and maintenance of system corrections. The Senior Software Engineer may partner and collaborate with cyber security teams to ensure compliance with security standards. The Senior Software Engineer may develop and conduct unit tests.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree, Master's degree, or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related scientific/engineering field is required.
* Experience working with software defined radio hardware platforms (i.e., USRPs, GNURadio, UHD, AIR-T, or others) and developing software in C, C++, and/or Python to prototype communications systems.
* Experience working with RF-related laboratory equipment (i.e., RF spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, RF power meters, etc.).
* Experience working in the Linux environment including writing command scripts and compiling and installing software packages.
* Strong verbal and written communications skills including collaborating with other onsite and/or remote technical team members, preparing and sharing technical results with others, and documenting work to aid other team members and activities.
* Working knowledge of signals and systems, digital signal processing, basic communications theory, probability, and linear algebra is a plus.
* Experience using MATLAB to analyze signals that are generated in simulation or collected experimentally in a laboratory or field setting is a plus.
* Experience performing research or trade analysis that involve mathematical modeling, formulating and characterizing solutions, and drawing evidence-based conclusions is a plus.
* Due to the nature of the work, an active Secret clearance is required, an Interim clearance is sufficient to start.
