Directorate is the central focus for Mission Systems Integration
activities within RMD, responsible for defining customer needs,
functional, product and systems architecture, requirements
definition analysis and decomposition, Model Based Systems
Engineering (MBSE), system performance, and System Security
Engineering (SSE).In this role, the individual may: perform
functional / physical analysis, allocation, and trade studies;
support engineering integration, production, system deployment; and
provide post-deployment support across the product lifecycle.
Through Digital Transformation (DTx), you will perform these
functions using a variety of methods and enabling technologies,
including Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Agile product

you.Responsibilities to Anticipate:You will be working as part of a
team to define system requirements, design architectures and
algorithms in support of those requirements and collaborate with
software development teams to ensure effective implementation. Some
specific responsibilities include:
- Concept of Operations (CONOPS) development and design
- Concept and requirements development, including decomposition
and flowdown
- Algorithm development and optimization applying search, track,
and discrimination
- Functional analysis of real world & test data; trade studies to
bring advanced features to fielded system
- Understanding the logical and systematic conversion of product
requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge
technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
- Collaboration with Hardware, Systems and Software Engineers to
develop and implement solutions
- System integration and test support to other engineering
functions, including live fire test events
- Collaboration with customer to bring new capabilities to the
warfighter
- Collaborate with team on identifying risks and
opportunitiesQualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology,
Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 5 years of prior relevant
experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and 3 years of
prior relevant experience. In absence of a degree, 9 years of
relevant experience is required.
- Experience in requirements development
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued
security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as
only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security
clearanceQualifications We Value:
- Advanced degree in EE, CE, Physics, Math, ME, Aerospace
- Knowledge of radar systems (for example - Patriot System)
- Experience with design of system level architecture
- Experience with DoD radar, battle management, or missile design
and development programs
- Experience/interest in aerodynamics,
guidance/navigation/control systems, and Kalman filters
- Experience with 3-DOF/6-DOF modeling and simulation
- Experience with Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning
- Experience with Agile and DevOps
- Proven ability to develop technical solutions to complex
issues
- Familiarity with Matlab, DOORS, MS Office
- Existing DoD Security Clearance
