Responsibilities

• Program rates and rules for multiple states and products into SAS/SQL to create rating engines
  • Maintain and update existing rating engines as the business revises market rates and implements new pricing rules
    • Transform and manipulate data from source system tables to prepare data feeds for the rating engines
      • Validate system rates pre-production and monitor system rate accuracy post-production
        • Identify and quickly resolve rating defects originating in SAS as well as assist in the resolution of system production defects
          • Create exposure lists to help the business understand the severity of production defects and assist operational decision making
            • Program rating enhancements and run simulations to help drive optimal coding solutions for market pricing and customer retention initiatives
              • Prepare data and assist with analysis centered around customer lifetime valueQualifications
                • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with related experience
                • 3+ years' experience writing complex SAS and SQL queries
                • Auto and/or homeowners domain insurance domain knowledge
                • Programming raters to a high degree of accuracy in Excel, SAS, and SQL
                • Experience using SAS macros to efficiently write code
                • Strong SQL skills, deep understanding of database programming and ability to build complex data from scratch
                • Strong SAS language skills especially processing transactional data
